The Sr. Marketing Manager, Communications & Enablement serves as a strategic communications and enablement leader responsible for driving executive alignment, commercial enablement, organizational adoption and business transformation across the Performance Coatings Group. This role partners closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop communication and engagement strategies that accelerate business priorities, strengthen stakeholder alignment and drive measurable business outcomes.
This role leads executive communications, change management, commercial enablement, and stakeholder engagement initiatives that support growth, transformation, and organizational effectiveness. The position plays a critical role in translating strategy into action by developing communication programs that drive awareness, readiness, adoption, and measurable business impact across a complex, matrixed organization.
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, executive influence, change leadership, commercial acumen, and analytical rigor to develop and execute communication and engagement strategies that enhance organizational alignment, support transformation initiatives, strengthen brand reputation, and deliver business value.
Additional Details:
- This position requires up to 20% travel.
- This role is not remote/hybrid. This role will report Sherwin-Williams Cleveland Global Headquarters located at 1 Sherwin Way, Cleveland, OH 44115
- This position is also eligible for [bonus] [commissions] [long-term incentive compensation awards] based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans.

This role partners closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop communication and engagement strategies that accelerate business priorities, strengthen stakeholder alignment and drive measurable business outcomes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must be able to travel as required
- Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher
- Must have at least ten (10+) years of experience in marketing communications
- Must have experience engaging, advising, influencing and driving collaboration in matrix environment
- Must have a strong understanding of change adoption methodologies and behavioral change principles
- Must have experience in designing internal communication initiatives that improve employee experience
- Must have experience crafting and implementing compelling narratives that align with business objectives
- Must have experience working across matrixed organizations with internal and external stakeholders.
- Must have experience analyizing and measuring success
- Must have experience implementing and optimizing communication strategies
- Must have experience Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, CoPilot, Dynamics)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing communications or related field
- Have experience in marketing communications in a B2B marketing environment

Strategic Communications & Executive Stakeholder Engagement
Develop and implement communication programs that align with large-scale business-wide initiatives and strategic objectives.
Partner closely with senior leaders to develop communication strategies and narratives that translate business priorities into clear, compelling messages that drive alignment, engagement, and action.
Lead the development of executive messaging, including internal town halls, financial community presentations and keynotes for industry events.
Serve as a strategic advisor, ensuring communication strategies align with business goals, influence decision-making and enhance stakeholder confidence. Leading effective communication tactics, crisis management and reputation-building efforts.
Ensure consistent, clear, and engaging storytelling across all marketing and corporate communication channels.
Partner with marketing leaders to drive communication and engagement strategies that support customer-centric growth initiatives, sales enablement programs and transformation efforts.

Change Management & Organizational Adoption Communications
Develop and implement communication and engagement programs that support adoption of new digital tools and business transformation initiatives across a matrixed organization.
Serves as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on organizational communications, change management and engagement strategies.
Lead stakeholder engagement and change communication plans that improve awareness, readiness, alignment and adoption across a matrixed organization.
Drives adoption and alignment for initiatives with significant business impact.
Partner with Sales Excellence, Learning & Development, Digital, Creative Services, Division Marketing teams and internal stakeholders to implement communication strategies that enhance the employee experience and advocacy.
Create targeted messaging that supports cultural change, reinforces organizational values, and fosters a positive workplace transformation.
Facilitate employee feedback loops, engagement surveys and internal advocacy programs to refine messaging and address concerns.
Leverage AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to improve communication effectiveness, stakeholder engagement and content creation processes.

Evaluate and implement new communication approaches that improve speed and impact.
- Commercial Engagement & Enablement Communications
- Partner with CRM, Sales Excellence and business teams to develop communication strategies that drive engagement, adoption, retention and business impact.
- Develop and implement communication plans supporting strategic launches, commercial initiatives, customer engagement programs and transformation efforts.
- Ensure alignment across internal messaging, commercial priorities, customer engagement objectives and cross-functional stakeholder communications.
- Create narratives, enablement content, and communication programs that help leaders and sellers understand, adopt, and activate strategic initiatives.
- Support the launch, adoption, ongoing engagement and measurement of commercial platforms, capabilities and commercial excellence programs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive understanding and adoption of new platforms, processes and ways of working.
- Develop communication and engagement strategies supporting marketing transformation initiatives.
- Support governance, capability-building and change management programs to ensure sustainable adoption and long-term success.

Analyze data-driven insights from engagement metrics, employee feedback and adoption rates to optimize strategies.
Continuously refine communication approaches based on qualitative and quantitative insights to improve effectiveness and stakeholder engagement.
