Job Description

Enterprise Learning Technologies Specialist

(Workday Learning Administrator & Instructional Content support)

About the Role

Rockwell Automation is seeking an Enterprise Learning Technologies Specialist to serve as the process owner and administrator of Workday Learning. This role governs and enables enterprise learning campaigns, employee learning needs, and key Workday Learning roles (Local Learning Admin, Content Admin, Instructor), while also contributing to instructional content development for critical corporate programs across HR, IT, Legal (OGC), Safety, Product Security, EHS, Finance, and Compliance. This role operates in a global environment, partnering closely with stakeholders across North America and other regions

Key Responsibilities

Workday Learning Administration & Operations (≈60%)

  • Serve as the primary Workday Learning Administrator and subject‑matter expert
  • Maintain and govern the global course catalog, learning roles, and security permissions
  • Resolve learning‑related tickets with a customer‑focused, root‑cause driven approach
  • Approve learning role requests (Local Learning Admins, Catalog Admins, Instructors)
  • Configure and manage global annual and new‑hire learning campaigns
  • Develop and deploy EIBs for non‑campaign training assignments
  • Support learning audits and compliance inquiries
  • Partner with HRIS to test, deploy, and adopt new Workday Learning functionality, including major platform changes such as Workday's New Assignment Model
  • Generate and publish learning metrics, dashboards, and completion reports

Instructional Design & Content Development (≈20%)

  • Design and develop online learning content using tools such as Articulate Rise/Storyline and Adobe Captivate
  • Create and maintain:
    • Job aids
    • Process documentation
    • Training videos
    • End‑user and admin enablement materials
  • Translate complex subject‑matter expertise into clear, usable learning experiences
  • Maintain content standards aligned to global learning governance

Governance, Enablement & Continuous Improvement (≈20%)

  • Train and enable Local Learning Admins, Catalog Admins, and Instructors
  • Establish learning standards that ensure quality, consistency, and scalability
  • Provide consulting to business leaders on how to optimize Workday Learning
  • Support change management for learning‑related system and process changes
  • Ensure learning operations remain audit‑ready and compliant
  • Create and maintain job aids related to Workday Learning to support Workday Learn roles, such as Local Learning Admins, Content Admins, Instructors, People Managers, and Employee Learners

Skills & Qualifications

  • Deep experience administering Workday Learning at scale
  • Strong instructional design capability and hands‑on content creation experience
  • Comfort partnering with HRIS and technical teams on system changes
  • Experience supporting compliance‑driven learning programs
  • Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills
  • Experience with SCORM/AICC standards preferred
  • Advanced English proficiency required (written and verbal) to support US-based stakeholders
