The Position

PD Medical Affairs (PDMA) plays a pivotal role in advancing the future of healthcare by connecting scientific advances with medical practice needs and embedding medical practice realities into Roche strategies. Join the Product Development Medical Affairs (PDMA) Nucleus Team in the Medical Enablement and Growth (MEG) sub-chapter for a 12-months internship in Basel. Within MEG, we empower Medical Affairs teams to learn, grow, and lead with confidence, enabling Medical Affairs teams to deliver real impact in healthcare. This is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting global teams, designing capability-building initiatives, and contributing to projects that build and strengthen capabilities and skills.

The Opportunity:

  • Support our MEG team members in analyzing, designing, implementing, and managing capability-building projects and offerings including their evaluation

  • Support a global leadership development program as the primary point of contact for participants as well as planning, communications, vendor engagement and applicant screening (50% of time)

  • Content creation and socialization including Google Sites, slide decks, newsletters, surveys, infographics, and videos

  • Co-facilitate workshops with Medical Affairs and Disease Area teams to strengthen skills, processes, and team performance

  • Planning and organizing in-site and virtual learning events ensuring smooth flow and engaging content, including collaboration with external vendors to support program design and delivery

  • Generate insights and evaluations after events and share findings with the team and broader stakeholders

  • Support the Nucleus team with ad-hoc projects and tasks across sub-chapters

Who you are:

  • You are currently enrolled in university (Bachelor/Master), or you finished your studies in the last 12 months prior to the start date, ideally in the field of Psychology, Sociology, Communications, Business Administration, Life Sciences or related fields

  • You are open-minded, flexible and creative with a can-do attitude and a learner mindset. You are a self-organized and highly proactive team player with strong communication, self-reflection and assertiveness skills

  • You have project management and analytical skills

  • You are fluent in spoken and written English

  • You ideally have work experience, preferably in an international business environment, instructional design or organisational psychology

  • You have a general understanding and interest in adult learning and development, and a keen eye for business and relationships, as well as a general understanding and interest in the pharmaceutical industry. Experience in training development and workshop facilitation is a plus

  • You have advanced knowledge of the Google Apps Suite and AI tools

This internship is not suitable for a Master's thesis.
