ROLE SUMMARY:
The PSL&D Strategy Lead serves as the primary strategic learning partner for their PharmSci client group, shaping and driving an aligned learning, development and compliance training strategy. In this role, the Lead will help elevate capability across the organization by translating business priorities into a cohesive L&D strategy, ensuring training compliance, advancing colleague development, and championing a culture of continuous, innovative learning. Through strong partnership, influence, and communication, the Lead will ensure that learning, capability development, and training compliance directly support partner‑line goals while driving adoption of innovative learning solutions and practices that deliver forward‑thinking learning solutions to strengthen performance and accelerate learner readiness.
Strategic Alignment & Partnership
Collaborate with partner line Leadership and SMEs to align L&D strategies with business needs, modernize training approaches, and ensure learning solutions directly support PharmSci priorities.
Partner across PharmSci business lines with the PSL&D Strategy Lead team to leverage enterprise, share best practices, and advance joint L&D initiatives.
Understand evolving business challenges and serve as a strategic advisor on how L&D supports capability, performance, and organizational readiness.
Learning Strategy, Design & Delivery
Lead the development, design, and curation of learning experiences across eLearning, ILT, blended learning, microlearning, and other modern formats.
Ensure learning programs incorporate innovative, diverse methodologies and meet training standards, with a focus on modernizing how PharmSci learns.
Manage and deliver instructor‑led training where needed, ensuring facilitation quality and alignment with program objectives.
Use AI‑enabled tools (e.g., Copilot, Synthesia, Articulate 360) to enhance efficiency and creativity in content development.
Stay informed on emerging learning technologies, trends, and best practices, and introduce new approaches that elevate the partner line’s learning culture.
Performance, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
Ensure colleagues and contractors are trained to perform role requirements and that training best practices and standards are consistently implemented.
Evaluate individual and organizational performance to confirm learning solutions meet business needs; collaborate with partner lines to address skills or compliance gaps.
Provide timely compliance reporting and inspection‑readiness support.
Assess program effectiveness, learner feedback, and customer satisfaction, integrating insights into continuous improvement cycles.
Support PharmSci Training Operations to ensure operational training needs and system requirements are efficiently met.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Provide technical expertise and program leadership while co‑developing training, learning, and development strategies with stakeholders.
Communicate updates, risks, and L&D insights clearly and proactively to ensure visibility, alignment, and timely escalation when required.
Build internal and external partnerships to expand knowledge, explore efficiencies, and strengthen training processes and learning solutions.
Leadership & Organizational Contribution
Lead PharmSci Learning & Development organizational goals each semester, driving progress toward shared capability and culture objectives.
Champion an innovative learning culture by promoting collaboration, curiosity, and continuous development across the partner line.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6+ years of experience or Masters degree and 5+ years of experience in training, adult learning, or related L&D roles
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional methodologies.
Demonstrated experience conceptualizing and implementing strategic, organization‑wide learning solutions.
Strong multimedia design capability (e.g., video, graphics) and experience creating modern learning solutions.
Strong analytical, strategic, and critical‑thinking skills, with the ability to solve complex or unique problems.
Ability to apply strategic business sense to formulate effective learning strategies.
Demonstrated foresight and sound judgment in complex decision‑making.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Well‑developed interpersonal skills, with proven ability to work effectively across all levels and cultures.
Demonstrated ability to motivate, influence, and collaborate cross‑functionally and cross‑culturally.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Proven ability to support and model a continuous improvement culture with performance measured against goals.
Strong technical writing capability.
High comfort with AI and automation tools, including integrating AI into day‑to‑day L&D workflows.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., GxP, pharma, biotech, manufacturing).
MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Experience within large‑scale life sciences organizations.
HBDI Certified Practitioner.
Yellow or Green Belt certification (Lean, Six Sigma).
Proficiency with Articulate 360.
Proven track record of delivering results within complex, matrixed organizations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such
as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance

Work Location Assignment: This is a hybrid role requiring you to live within commuting distance and work on-site an average of 2.5 days per week or more as needed.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $124,400.00 to $201,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
