The Consumer Growth Engine (CGE) is a digitally centric performance marketing team focused on delighting customers with relevant, timely, personalized communications to help them grow excitement in getting more value out of Microsoft products and services. The CGE is one of the largest-scale consumer marketing engines globally, utilizes placements across Windows and Edge to create extensive promotions, known as in-product, reaching more than 100+ billion impressions annually, while the email programs reach an additional scale of 3.5+ billion emails per year.
As the Operational Excellence and AI Enablement Leader, you serve as the operating backbone for the inproduct and email channels. This highimpact, highvisibility role builds the operating system—processes, standards, documentation, and AIenabled workflows—that ensures these channels run predictably, efficiently, and with maximum customer impact. You translate strategy into repeatable systems, drive crossfunctional alignment, embed AI into daily workflows, and strengthen execution reliability across Engineering, Privacy/CELA, Legal, BI/Analytics, and partner teams. You play a critical role in shaping customer journeys by applying AI and machine learning to elevate the quality, relevance, and performance of inproduct and email marketing experiences. You also are responsible for leading strategic tooling discussions with engineering, product teams, and compliance (legal/privacy).

Responsibilities
This role translates channel strategy into a scalable operating system by designing and maintaining SOPs, workflows, templates, and SLAs that reflect customer‑first principles and CGE’s mission. It leads cross‑functional governance by running intake, review, and approval workflows across Engineering, Privacy/CELA, Legal, and Data/Analytics, while maintaining clear escalation paths and a disciplined unblocked cadence. The role drives operational excellence by building and updating end‑to‑end workflow maps for in product and email channels, establishing documentation standards, creating templates and QA processes, and leading adoption and continuous improvement of the operating model. It embeds AI into day‑to‑day execution by identifying practical use cases—including automation, QA, prompts, and personalization, building an AI enablement toolkit, and guiding team fluency through targeted training. The role strengthens leadership visibility through operational dashboards that track reliability, throughput, blockers, and AI impact, and deliver concise operational narratives in executive forums.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related work experience OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• 7+ years in program management, marketing operations, digital marketing, or channel operations.
• Experience navigating Engineering, Privacy/CELA, Legal, and compliance workflows.
• Strong communication and cross‑functional influence skills.
• Experience with lifecycle/email marketing, digital experience orchestration.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted workflows and marketing automation.
• Proven ability to drive clarity and structure in complex environments.
Integrated Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
