Overview

The Worldwide Enterprise Sales, Enterprise Sales & Operations team is hiring an Account Executive (AE) Community & Enablement Lead.

The Account Executive (AE) Community & Enablement Lead is a strategic enablement role dedicated to cultivating a vibrant, inclusive, and high-performing Account Executive community. This individual acts as a connector and communicator, ensuring that community initiatives are relevant, widely adopted, and impactful across the organization.

Worldwide Enterprise Sales & Operations (ES&O) empowers enterprise field leaders and sellers to achieve revenue goals through strategic planning, operational excellence, and performance insights. It is the connective tissue across Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS), ensuring alignment, execution, and impact. These sellers include Account Team Unit (ATU), Digital Enterprise Sales (DES), Digital Native and Industry teams around the globe.


ES&O aims to be the engine behind scalable, AI-powered, and insight-driven field execution—simplifying, accelerating, and amplifying best practice sales motions through strategy, enablement, and sales excellence.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years experience in Management Consulting, or Sales.
  • Experience identifying capability gaps within sales communities and crafting targeted enablement and skilling strategies that drive future-ready performance and sustained impact.
  • 5+ years experience with Account Team Units or field sales roles; familiarity with enterprise sales, operations and enablement structures.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influence without authority.
  • Experience synthesizing field insights and represent sales community needs.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement across regions and disciplines.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities, driving clarity, and landing initiatives with measurable impact.
Sales Strategy Enablement IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Community building: Foster a strong sense of belonging and engagement within the Account Executive (AE) community, championing inclusivity and collaboration.
  • Communications: Serve as the primary conduit for landing key enablement initiatives, sharing updates, and best practices. Develop a communications framework for an Account Executive (AE) enablement to ensure clear, consistent, and timely communication of community initiatives and business priorities.
  • Enablement & advocacy: Identify and promote role-specific skilling, development opportunities, and enablement resources. Advocate for the needs and interests of the Account Executive (AE) community to leadership and stakeholders. Surface challenges, successes, and insights from the field, facilitating open dialogue and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate across MCAPS and other business units to launch and support impactful community programs and drive alignment with strategic initiatives
  • Measure and report on the impact of community efforts.
  • Role excellence & identity: Shape the evolution of the Account Executive (AE) role by defining what excellence looks like, guiding the community’s identity, and influencing how the role is understood and valued across the organization.
