Within WW Learning, the Global Channel team is seeking an experienced Partner Sales Executive (PSE) to manage a portfolio of strategic Training Service Providers (TSPs) headquartered in Australia and New Zealand. PSE is a key role in our Learning team, who represent Microsoft in terms of our vision, strategy and overall business to the Training Service Provider. He/she is accountable for sales metrics, co-marketing planning, building partner capacity and representing the full range of Microsoft products in terms of content and certification.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Sales, Partner/Channel development, business development, alliance management in the technology industry
    • Experience articulating technology platform strategy and solutions with a great proficiency
    • Good candidate will be inclusive and collaborative, drive teamwork and cross-team alignment and will have strong relationship management and solution development skills
    • Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small audiences.
    • Strategic thinker who drives for impact. Strong candidates with problem solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources, conflict resolution, and follow through with partners.
    • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA desired.

In this role, candidates should expect to travel 40%+ of their time meeting directly with TSPs in person.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Leadership: Build executive relationships with Leaders within the Partner organization and drive sales through Partner’s sales team. Enable them with GTM strategy and align them to Microsoft’s priorities. Create Microsoft ambassadors within the Partner business organization and increase Microsoft share of business.

  • Partner Success: Help TSP to grow their overall business and increase share of Microsoft portfolio. Build Partner capabilities, create joint account plans, plan monthly and quarterly reviews and ensure mutual goals are met. Articulate with passion and clarity, MS and WWL priorities and strategy. Build effective Partner relationships and be a trusted advisor to the TSP to help create and execute successful end customer skilling engagements.

  • Strategic Business Planning: Create strategic business objectives and partnership plans, coordinate partner prioritization and growth, ability to set clear goals/timelines for the business to achieve or exceed on revenue/metric targets and drive execution against agreed plans. Demonstrate the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. Drive and contribute direct Sales Revenue and Unit metrics (as applicable) of MS Learning offerings. Achieve core priorities and commitments on channel performance, operational excellence, marketing & programs and diversity and inclusion.

  • Focus on Performance Management with partners at regional level, including the ability to clearly set and communicate performance expectations and goals, monitor performance, conduct performance reviews, provide ongoing feedback, create correction of error plans to address low performance. Excel in negotiation and conflict resolution, achieving mutually satisfying agreements in negotiations with others by listening to their objectives, acting as the company's representative to effectively communicate the company's objective, and seeking common ground and collaborative solutions to ensure ongoing performance.

  • Collaboration with Subsidiary and WWL Field team: Candidate must be a team player and will need to work very closely with the Field team (TPMs, Area Learning Lead and Regional Learning Lead) to achieve mutual goals of skilling customers and larger Microsoft Partner eco system. He/she should demonstrate sales excellence through high quality interactions with Microsoft Subsidiaries, its leadership and stakeholders.

  • Engagement with the rest of WWL team in Corporate HQ and other countries; Candidate will be joining a global organization which will require him/her to interact with a virtual team across various countries and time zones. He/she should be culturally sensitive and flexible about work habits. Candidate should build great relationships with Corp HQ team, other departments of WWL and globally located team members.
