As a CO+I Learning Program Manager, you will be responsible for designing, managing, and delivering technical training programmes tailored to the needs of our datacenter teams. This includes conducting workforce training needs analyses, implementing procedural change management initiatives, and supporting the development of trainers within your region. You’ll apply project and programme management principles to evaluate training effectiveness, report on learning outcomes, and contribute to the career growth of our trainers. The role offers flexibility in terms of location and work-from-home scheduling, depending on time zone coverage and business needs.
Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation division powers the infrastructure behind our cloud services. As a Learning Program Manager within CO+I, you will play a pivotal role in enabling the delivery of foundational technologies that support Microsoft’s online services, including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Program Management, or equivalent work experience or at least two years’ equivalent experience in instructional design or educational technology.
- At least 9 months of work experience in operations management involving team management and training development.
- Experience with datacenter personnel or other highly skilled, global operations workforces.
- Previous experience in the datacenter industry developing training solutions, leveraging instructional design, and directing others to deliver effective training programs.
- Experience using data to show the impact of training on performance or other measurable business objectives.
- Experience managing complex learning models for multiple and varied learner groups in the datacenter industry.
- Experience coordinating the entire lifecycle of systems, tools, or services from initial design to final product launch.
Background Check Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with online learning software development tools such as Articulate (Storyline) 360 and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Previous experience in integrating training delivery methodologies.
- Experience supporting a fast-paced process development environment.
- Work with multi-media development and/or videography.
- Experience working across multiple geographies and cultures.
- Familiarity with or experience applying Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Lean, Six Sigma, PMI (Production Management Identities), PMP, or other process improvement and project management methodologies. Experience with other applicable frameworks is also a plus.
Responsibilities
- Collect, organise, and analyse data from training programmes to identify learning needs and areas for improvement.
- Use metrics to track progress against team objectives and broader Global Training Operations goals.
- Measure results to inform resource prioritisation and support vendor teams in aligning Key Results and Performance Indicators with business outcomes.
- Collaborate with global teams to integrate existing and new learning solutions that address emerging business needs.
- Identify operational risks, training gaps, and learning opportunities, and communicate these insights to stakeholders and regional training managers.
- Promote learning solutions to increase awareness, demand, and consumption across the workforce.
- Leverage multiple communication channels and points of influence to drive engagement across all organisational layers.
- Share global perspectives with regional leadership and programme managers to coordinate resources and deliver effective training programmes across datacenters.
