Job Summary: The Senior Manager, Learning & Development is a hands-on position and will be responsible for developing and delivering learning solutions that build individual & organizational capability and engagement to enable a talent-rich and high-performance organization. The role will partner closely with the HRBP organization and other business leaders to assess and identify needs across the organization and align the appropriate experience, exposure, or education solution to drive business results. The individual will help ensure the company is developing a talented and skilled workforce that embodies our values by growing our next generation of leaders.
The anticipated pay range for this role is as follows: $140k-150k annually. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.
Core Responsibilities:
Align resources and tools in support of the global learning strategy, ensuring programs are forward-thinking, competitive, and in support of the company’s business strategy.
Partner across the global Talent organization to build the next generation of high potential talent. Implement processes for early identification, career accelerator assignments, and leadership awareness/networking.
Develop a critical enterprise learning portfolio to ensure the design and delivery model reflects the diverse needs of the enterprise.
Remove duplication of efforts and identify and drive learning metrics to ensure effectiveness and ROI of programs and initiatives.
Create and adapt leadership development programs and processes that address skill gaps and opportunities identified through the data collection & analysis process. Align training with the Owens & Minor IDEAL leadership profile and provide leadership development through experiences that ensure measurable transfer and integration of learning.
Drive internal collaboration, knowledge sharing and learning and development cooperation across stakeholder groups.
Leverage Learning Management System as a vehicle to provide targeted learning paths based on identified need.
Keep pace with industry trends and define solutions that promote progressive business practices.
Deliver learning solutions (virtual & in-person) as train-the-trainer and direct to participant.
Qualifying Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development, or related field.
5+ years of experience in HR/Talent Management, with specific responsibilities facilitating training courses, measuring ROI against expected learning outcomes and program management.
Experience developing learning solutions based on desired business impact.
Extensive knowledge of learning and organizational development methodologies and tools.
Experience applying a variety of development approaches that span formal training, relationship-based, and experience-based development.
Excellent relationship building skills with ability to communicate and collaborate across all organizational levels.
Learning agility which would facilitate the acquisition and application of new practices and information in a constantly changing environment.
Strong project management, planning, and organization skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Continuous improvement attitude: ability to suggest and implement best practices.
Developed presentation skills and the ability to train others (train the trainer).
Strong and clear communication skills.
