Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in partnership management, business development, or alliance management within the enterprise technology or cloud industry.
- Experience in building partner ecosystems.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with various partners, including Global System Integrators (GSIs), Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), and specialist consulting firms.
- Experience promoting cloud products.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries, build relationships, import/export talent and ideas to achieve broader organizational goals.
- Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to deliver a business and technical pitch to the C-Suite.
About the job
As a Partnerships GTM Lead in Japan and Asia Pacific (JAPAC) for Google Cloud, you will drive demand generation and the regional Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy, supporting Google’s vibrant partner ecosystem.
In this role, you will focus on driving demand and pipeline growth through our partner ecosystem in Japan and APAC. You will be responsible for developing and executing demand generation initiatives in close collaboration with the Partner team. You will coordinate agreed-upon activities with Japan and APAC Partner and Marketing teams to ensure alignment and maximize impact. You will build a sales pipeline and accelerate business growth through effective partner engagement. You will be responsible for identifying, supporting and building new partner capacity and capabilities required to capture new business pipelines. You will leverage a unique blend of strategic planning, ecosystem development, and GTM execution, engaging with partners across technology offerings centered around Google Cloud’s industry leading AI offerings. You will partner with key cross-functional stakeholders across the partner organization, sales, marketing, and product to build and scale these new routes to market, adapting your approach as customer needs and markets evolve.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with partner organizations in APAC and Japan to develop and execute joint demand generation plans that are aligned with their business objectives.
- Leverage partner marketing funds or local programs to drive pipeline growth and measure the Return on Investment (ROI) of all activities.
- Design and execute programs and incentives to motivate Partner Sales teams and drive proactive agreement sourcing.
- Equip partners with the necessary tools and resources, working alongside both the partner organizations in Japan and APAC, and partner marketing to effectively convert Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) to Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs).
- Co-host executive level events and engagements with partners to engage C-level executives and line of business leaders.
