Work Arrangement:
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, MI at minimum 3 days per week.

As part of the Technical Learning University (TLU) and Automotive Manufacturing Electrical College (AMEC) team, you will deliver advanced electrical and harness training that supports GM’s strategic priorities and drives operational excellence.
This role is critical to upskilling our manufacturing workforce and closing knowledge gaps as vehicle technology becomes increasingly complex. You will empower employees at all levels to master current and future electrical architectures with precision and confidence, ensuring flawless execution of sophisticated features while maintaining GM’s commitment to safety and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruct on Electrical Manufacturing Processes, Strategy-Based Diagnostics, and more to AMEC participants.
Drive improvements in launch execution and quality through training.
Work collaboratively with the SMEs and Instructional Designers to best target our specific audience.
Learn and incorporate new vehicle wiring, module, communications and propulsion technologies into AMEC training.
Deliver training using learning delivery methodology with related processes and tools established at GM.
Adapt to training schedule changes, promote a safe and inclusive learning environment, and support learners' diverse needs.
Engage in plant and supplier visits, work in manufacturing roles for better understanding, and seek continuous feedback for improvement.
Crosstrain on other courses to be able to effectively deliver, and relate learnings to, material that is outside of your field of expertise.
Continuously pursue personal and academic growth.
Support internal groups and assist in their projects as needed.
Spot improvements that include other groups to strengthen AMEC training and increase E-FTQ.
Maintain the equipment and vehicles used for training purposes.
Attend training that will help grow our skills to deliver world class training.
Participate in cross-functional teams to support the raising of E-FTQ at any or all our facilities.
Volunteer for supporting duties that help support the group and the facility.
Be an ambassador for our team.
Required Qualifications:
5-7+ years of experience facilitating, coaching, and developing others to master a new skill using relationship building and effective communication.
Bachelor's Degree required, ideally in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, controls, etc. Master's Degree preferred.
Demonstrated experience delivering technical and non-technical training.
Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to establish trust and credibility.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong and engaging classroom communication skills and instructional style.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
10-20% travel for on-site training and curriculum development.
