Physical AI is transforming automation fundamentally. Our team at the BMW Group applies cutting-edge breakthroughs in robot learning to automate complex assembly tasks directly on factory lines. We work in a fast-paced environment with state-of-the-art hardware and exciting innovation projects.
What awaits you?
- You will support applied research in Embodied AI for automating assembly tasks.
- Furthermore, you help develop architectures and algorithms for robot learning.
- In addition, you contribute to evaluating and testing approaches on state-of-the-art robotic hardware.
- Moreover, you will assist in exciting innovation projects in industrial robotics.
- You collaborate with a small, motivated team in a fast-paced environment.
What should you bring along?
- Studies in robotics, computer science, electrical engineering or a related field.
- Experience with Python, ROS and PyTorch.
- Technical foundations in reinforcement learning, behavior cloning, deep learning, robot task planning, MDPs, MPC or teleoperation.
- Experience in simulation environments such as Isaac Sim or MuJoCo.
- Experience in working with real or simulated manipulators.
- Contributions to scientific publications are a plus.
- Good German and English skills.
