Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Head of Learning and Development (L&D) to lead the design, delivery, and evolution of our global learning strategy. This role is pivotal as we transform Agilent’s Talent Management Center of Excellence (COE) into an innovation engine—driving future-ready capabilities, development, and a culture of continuous learning.
You will lead a team of around 4 talent professionals and work in close partnership with HR Business Partners and Global HR Talent Partners to ensure learning strategies are directly informed by business needs and talent priorities. A key focus of this role is to align L&D and talent development goals with the broader enterprise strategy, ensuring learning is an enabler of business performance and transformation. You will also play a critical role in working with our HR Digital team to leverage emerging technologies and personalize learning, enhance insights, and scale development opportunities across Agilent.
Key responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute a bold, future-focused L&D strategy that directly supports enterprise goals and talent priorities.
Translate business strategy into learning and capability-building initiatives that drive measurable impact.
Position the Talent Management COE as a hub of innovation—experimenting with new learning technologies, methodologies, and approaches, including AI-powered solutions.
Program Design & Delivery
Direct and support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of programs, including onboarding, orientation, learning and development.
Oversee and deliver a clear, coordinated annual learning calendar that aligns with business priorities and runs on a purposeful, well-paced cadence.
Champion digital learning and blended approaches to scale learning across geographies and functions.
Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop a team of L&D professionals, ensuring goals and contributions are tightly aligned with enterprise strategy, HR Mission and the Talent Management COE’s priorities.
Foster a culture of collaboration, curiosity, continuous improvement and excellence within the team.
AI & Digital Innovation
Stay ahead of emerging technologies - integrate AI and data-driven tools to personalize learning journeys, predict skill gaps, and optimize program delivery, in collaboration with Agilent’s HR Digital specialist teams for maximum impact.
Measurement & Innovation
Define success metrics and use data and insights to evaluate program effectiveness and inform decision-making.
Continuously improve learning and development offerings based on feedback, analytics, and business outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in HR, Organizational Development, or related field.
5+ years experience formally or informally leading people, projects and/or programs.
Proven experience in a senior L&D leadership role, ideally in a global / matrixed organization.
Demonstrated success in aligning learning strategies with enterprise goals and driving business impact.
Experience integrating AI, analytics, or digital platforms into L&D strategies.

Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least October 8, 2025 or until the job is no longer posted.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $143,760.00 - $269,550.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
