We are seeking a Service Learning & Development Partner to join our Operational Excellence team within the Services organization!

Location: Our Staines office - 2, Causeway Park, The Causeway, Staines-upon-Thames, Staines TW18 3BF

Hybrid working - 3 days in office & 2 days from home

This role focuses on the delivery of operational training programs for new and existing associates across ADP’s Managed Services, with a primary focus on payroll processing. The specialist is responsible for onboarding associates through our Service Academy, ensuring consistent knowledge transfer across systems, workflows, and compliance standards. The successful candidate will follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to train and support the associates responsible for delivering high-volume, accurate, and compliant payroll and HR administrative services to ADP’s clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver instructor-led (virtual and in-person) operational training as part of the Service Academy, focusing on payroll, time & attendance, and HR administration processes.
  • Ensure all training is delivered in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ADP compliance requirements, and client-specific workflows.
  • Facilitate knowledge acquisition through hands-on simulations, live demonstrations, and guided practice aligned to ADP systems and service standards.
  • Act as a payroll subject matter expert during training sessions, responding to questions and providing practical context to support learning outcomes.
  • Provide post-training coaching, performance observation, and support to ensure a smooth transition into live operations for new hires.
  • Maintain and update training documentation, process guides, and learning content in collaboration with business stakeholders and SMEs.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, and use insights to refine learning programs.
  • Partner with Operational Excellence, Service Delivery Leaders, and Quality teams to identify skill gaps and recommend targeted learning solutions.
  • Support refresher training and upskilling initiatives to address recurring knowledge gaps and enhance service capability.

Skills and Competencies

  • Expertise in payroll processing and time & attendance systems.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and learner engagement skills.
  • Strong planning, organization, and time management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom).
  • Analytical thinking with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to operational accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, HR or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in payroll operations or payroll training, preferably in a shared service or managed services environment.
  • Proven experience facilitating training in both virtual and classroom settings.
  • Working knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance requirements (CIPP certification is a plus).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple training engagements in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
